Lipetsk region is a member of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Advisory Council and the Council of the Heads of subjects of Russian Federation.

40-60 visits of employees of foreign embassies, firms and organizations are organized annually to the Lipetsk region, and more than 10 visits of delegations of representatives of the region go abroad every year.

In 2006 delegations from Region Marche (Italy), Service Center "Meccano" (Italy), representatives of the Embassy of China and Chinese businessmen, US Embassy in the RF and Overseas Private Investment Corporation (USA), German businessmen with the presentation of "Metro Cash&Carry" project, Norwegian businessmen with the presentation of "Kverneland Group", as well as delegations from France, Austria, South Korea, Vietnam visited the Lipetsk region.

In 2006 19 interregional exhibition-fairs took place in the Lipetsk region, in which more than 400 enterprises from more than 35 regions of Russia, as well as Belarus and Baltic countries took part.

The Lipetsk region has stable international relationship with Germany, Italy, Hungary, China, India, Great Britain, Belorussia and other countries.
