The project of reconstruction and development of Airport «Lipetsk» aims at upgrading the airport of Lipetsk City with the opening of a permanent checkpoint through the state border of the Russian Federation. Reconstruction of the flight-landig strip to increase its length upto 2800 meters, renovation and expansion of taxiways, platform, replacement of lighting, radio and meteorological equipment, the construction of a cargo terminal, setting up checkpoint across the state border of the Russian Federation are planned. The implementation of the project will provide åðó possibility of flights on international and domestic lines by passenger and cargo aircraft of following types: An-148, «Sukhoi Super Jet-100», TU-334, Tu-154, Tu-214, IL-76 as well as foreign aircraft of similar class.
